Today is Benito Juárez’s birthday in Mexico, which is a national holiday where everyone is free from work. Therefore I was able to enjoy a long weekend of exploring the city before it’s time to get to work.
I had contact with my supervisor about working from home. Initially, the company said this would not be possible because I won’t be able to have access to the system without being in the office.
However, after having a good call with my supervisor today, he agreed on sending me some documents regarding the project we will be working on, and I will be able to join two Skype meetings tomorrow.
I’m really excited about this because this means that I will not have to extend my trip or get into any other difficulties regarding my internship duration. Notwithstanding, this counts when the corona virus doesn’t also escalate here.
One downside is that both meetings will be primarily in Spanish. However, I will try my best to follow most of it and will ask my supervisor for a summary afterwards.
I will give an update about how it went tomorrow!
