Today I worked on doing some more research on my psychology theory. At the end of the fourth session, the lecturer actually gave some references to books and articles she recommended. However, it is a bit difficult to get my hands on these books right now and there are no e-book versions available.

Nonetheless, there is enough information I can find online. I stumbled upon an interesting article by Gregory Ciotti about various ways on how to convert customers into using more psychology. (https://www.helpscout.com/consumer-behavior/) My favorite finding was about labelling your customers. Labelling people is big issue and controversial topic nowadays. However, this particular study showed that labelling customers (in a positive way) can result in a higher turnout. People like being part of a groups that imply some superior quality or level of status that has their approval.

This finding has actually also given me some new insights in how I can accomplish PLO 8, because although I do not have an internship anymore, it is common knowledge that labelling people has resulted in ethical/social issues for many companies. Therefore, I find it appalling that there is also a positive side to labelling people.

I want to look more into this and come up with some more sources in order to successfully write about this PLO.

Speak to you tomorrow.

Amanda
